The Short Trench Jacket. The origins of the trench date back to the 1820s. Originally developed for British Army officers before the First World War, and becoming popular while used in the trenches, hence its name. The EG Trench still holds the key elements of the garment. It features a double-breasted uniform, wide lapels, a waist belt, adjustable cuffs around the wrists and raglan sleeves.
